Position Summary

A valued member of Crombie REIT’s team and reporting to the Senior Director, Operations, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for administration and coordination of activities in support of the Burlington Office team and surrounding portfolio. Additional duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing administrative support, including the preparation of general correspondence, and maintaining files
  • Contacting clients and other third parties on a daily basis
  • Communicating with various internal groups and departments at Crombie
  • Completing Accounts Payable for the group of properties including receiving, reviewing, coding and processing invoices, reconciling invoices against purchase orders, and working with the accounting department to ensure all accounts are in good standing
  • Routing property service requests and inquiries to the appropriate third party contractor or service provider
  • Ensuring all contractor files are complete and up-to-date
  • Contacting tenants and other third parties as required
  • Updating electronic files as required and ensuring that paper filing is organized and complete
  • Providing superior customer service to all Crombie employees, clients, and suppliers by responding professionally and promptly to all questions, inquiries and requests
  • Performing other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will have:

  • Completion of secondary school required. College Diploma in administrative studies or similar considered an asset
  • 1-2 years of related administrative experience in a professional environment
  • Prior Accounts Payable and experience with accruals is considered an asset
  • Prior experience with Yardi Voyager is considered an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
